Hey there! I’m Zach Ottenweller and I’m currently a Senior honors student at Baldwin Wallace University majoring in both Digital Marketing and Media Production with an interest in Client Services, AI, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). I am looking for employment with agencies, clients, or small businesses with opportunities for growth and expansion during my career.
I am currently working as an Account Executive with the Digital Marketing Center at BW. I have developed many skills throughout this process, especially towards a career in digital marketing. I have been able to expand my knowledge on AI, SEO, and working with clients through this position.
I would ideally like to work in an agency that focuses on paid media, SEO, and client services, while also working with my own clients. I would like to use my skills to create content and connections to help businesses grow. I hope to someday work with clients and businesses around the United States.
Certifications
Google Analytics (GA4)
I used Google Analytics to review data on the previous version of this site for a digital marketing course. I’ve also used it to track the most popular blogs for an internship so I could repurpose content into social media posts.
Content Marketing
This Hubspot certification was earned through a content marketing course I took at BW. I’ve used this often in my work with creating blogs, social media posts, and video creation. This has been helpful in all of my internships.
Market Concepts
I’ve used this Bloomberg certification in some courses to more easily reach Excel and financial documents. This has been beneficial when working with clients as well and having a better understanding of financial terms and the meaning behind numbers.
Google Search Ads
I’ve been able to use this certification as a talking point with previous internships and current clients. This certification has made it easier to describe the benefits and uses of search ads that could help improve a business.
SEO & SEO II
I grouped these two certifications from Hubspot because they have similar themes and build off of one another. I used these certifications to work with my first client in finding ways to fix their company website on the back end.
IACT Excel Expert
The International Academy of Computer Training put together this certification to help learn more about Excel. I’ve used this one a lot in my data visualization course to create and organize pivot tables to make graphs and charts.
Piloting AI for Marketers
This certification has been useful in my everyday life with marketing. I am currently working on a project with the Digital Marketing Center (DMC) to identify AI tools that could be beneficial for speeding up the marketing process.
Sales Management
This certification from Hubspot is different from the other ones I’ve earned in the sense that it wasn’t so focused on marketing. This certification has helped me with leading my team as an Account Exec with the DMC.
FCC License
This is the only certification/license I’ve earned that doesn’t relate as much to business. I had to earn this for a radio production class and to go live on the air at BW’s radio station. I had my own show and was the General Manager for a summer.
